Outline

Try IT! aims to create a link between the teachings taught at the Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros Informáticos with its application in the current world of work and research.

For this, the best professionals in the sector and the main national and international companies in different fields of Computer Science will share their knowledge, giving the possibility to see technological demonstrations and test the latest technological trends.

In Try IT! there will be the presence of important companies in which Information Technologies are the fundamental basis of their businesses and that promote learning and continuous training of studies in Computer Science. Young entrepreneurs and former students who will share their experiences will also participate in Try IT!. To complete this, different research groups of the UPM will share the development of their international projects and the work carried out in them.

Assessment Method

Attendance (prior registration is required through the Try IT! Website).

The student who registers and has confirmed attendance to 10 lectures, will obtain 5 points. The student who registers and has confirmed attendance for 20 lectures or more, will obtain 10 points. Confirmed attendance between 11 and 19 lectures will receive the proportional score. It is essential to register the attendance at each presentation.

Prerequisites

It is a requirement to register for free on the Try IT! Website, to obtain the ticket.

To access to each session, the ticket must be shown to be scanned, so the attendance could be recorded.
